The Sea Cadets

HMS Raleigh

HMS Raleigh is situated in Cornwall in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is the ideal setting for a National Sea Cadet Training Centre in the West Country. It is the New Entry Training Establishment for all men and women joining the Royal Navy and is the home of many different facilities including the Royal Naval Submarine Training School and the Plymouth Command Firefighting and Damage Control School.

Courses are run for Cadets and adult volunteers and courses available at HMS Raleigh include Unit Training Officers, Seamanship, Navigation, RYA Power/Sailing, Cook/Steward, Writer/Stores, First Aid and RN Acquaint courses. Details of dates and age limitations can be found in the SCC National Training Programmes issued annually.
