The Sea Cadets

Windsurfing

Windsurfing combines characteristics of both surfing and sailing and has similarities to other board sports like waterskiing, skateboarding and snowboarding. It’s a surface water sport with a single sail powering a windsurf board.

Windsurfing is a great way to have fun out on the water while developing some impressive muscles! As part of the RYA syllabus, Cadets can learn to windsurf safely under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor. Skills include sailing across the wind, steering, tacking and gybing, self-rescue and windsurfing at speed in the harness and footstraps.
