Dinghy Sailing

Sailing involves a vessel being propelled across a body of water by the force of the wind on sails. This is called dinghy sailing when the boats are small and they are sailed by use of the sail and underwater foils. The balance is adjusted by the skipper (on a one man boat) and the crew changing positions.

In total, the Sea Cadets maintains a fleet of approximately 3,000 sailing dinghies all around the UK, giving every Cadet plenty of opportunity to get out on the water.
